Ingredients
- Pasta – ½ cup
- Carrot (chopped) – 2 tbsp
- Onion (chopped) – 1 tbsp
- Capsicum (different colours) – ¼ cup
- Iceberg lettuce – ½ cup
Preparing the Pasta Salad
- In a saucepan, boil water and pasta, along with salt and black pepper.
- Once the pasta has become soft, drain water from it with a strainer.
- Pour regular water to ensure that the pasta does not stick with each other.
- In another bowl, add lettuce, carrots, capsicums, and onions.
- Add salt to taste and freshly ground black pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta to the bowl of veggies and mix them together.
- Add the Thousand Island dressing and gently mix all of them to ensure that the pasta and veggies are covered with the dressing.
- Refrigerate for a while and serve chilled.
In addition to veggies, you can also add some fresh fruits like apple and pineapple to the pasta salad with Thousand Island dressing.
