Ingredients
For Paneer tikka
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Red chilli (Kashmiri lal mirch) powder – 1 tbsp
- Cumin (Jeera) – 1 tbsp
- Amchur powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric (Haldi) powder – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Black salt (Kala namak) – ½ tsp
- Diced paneer cubes – 300 gm
- Hung curd (Dahi) – ¼ cup
- Oil for cooking
- Salt to taste
Other ingredients for the sandwich
- Bread Slice – 4
- Shredded iceberg lettuce
- Tomatoes (thinly sliced round) – 2
- Cucumber (thinly sliced round) – 1
- Onion (thinly sliced rings) – 2
- Capsicum (sliced) – 1/2
- CROPINO Chipotle Southwest Dressing
- Mayonnaise
- Jalapenos (cut, pickled) – 3-4
- Black olives – 2-3
- Black pepper – 1 tablespoon
Preparation
To begin making the paneer tikka sandwich, first prepare all the ingredients and keep them on the kitchen counter.
Preparing the Paneer Tikka
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all the spices together along with the ginger garlic paste, and hung curd. Mix well.
- Add the paneer cubes and mix well.
- Toss to coat the paneer cubes well.
- Check salt and add accordingly.
- Cover and set aside for 10 minutes to allow the paneer to marinate.
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil and add the marinated paneer.
- Stir and cook the paneer on high heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and keep the paneer tikka aside.
Assembling the Sandwich
- Take a slice of bread and apply a little butter.
- Toast the bread slightly in an tawa.
- On the bread slice, assemble the lettuce, onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and cucumber as layers.
- Add olives, jalapenos and some salt to taste followed by black pepper.
- Now, add the paneer tikka prepared earlier.
- Add CROPINO Chipotle Southwest Dressing followed by veg mayonnaise on top.
- Take another slice of bread, apply butter on both the side and place it on the sandwich.
- Now, if you have Grill machine or sandwich maker to grill the sandwich until golden. You can also use tawa by pressing down with spatula until crisp.
