Ingredients
Paneer Stuffing (filling)
- Paneer (cottage cheese) – 200 gm
- Finely chopped onion – 1
- Finely chopped tomato – 1
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Sliced capsicum – ½ cup
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Finely chopped coriander – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Butter – 1 tbsp
- Finely chopped bell peppers – ½ cup
How to Make Frankie Masala at Home
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Amchur powder – ½ tsp
- Chaat masala – ½ tsp
- Black salt – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Cumin powder – ½ tsp
For Added Taste
- CROPINO Veg. Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
- Salt as per your taste
- Chilli sauce
- Chopped cabbage – 1 tbsp
- Chopped carrots – 1 tbsp
- Sliced/chopped onions – 1 tbsp
Step-By-Step Process of Paneer Frankie Recipe
Preparing the stuffing for paneer frankie
- Cut the paneer into small cubes to start the paneer frankie recipe
- In a small pan, take 1 tbsp of butter and add the paneer cubes.
- Roast the paneer cubes until they turn golden brown. Keep them aside.
- In a heavy-bottom pan, heat oil in medium heat.
- Now, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, and let them sizzle.
- Take finely chopped onions along with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute it for 1 minute.
- Take Turmeric + red chilli powder + coriander powder and garam masala .
- Saute them until you can smell the aroma of the masala.
(Care: Ensure that the spices don’t get burned.)
- Sprinkle 1-2 tbsp water on the pan if the onions and spices begin to stick to it.
- Add the chopped bell peppers so that they get well-coated with the masalas.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and saute until the tomatoes turn soft.
- Add the roasted paneer and mix well.
- Some salt to taste and finely chopped coriander.
- Cover the pan with a lid to simmer for 2 minutes.
- Turn off the flame.
- Your paneer stuffing is ready.
Preparing The Masala for Paneer Frankie
Take a small bowl and mix all the following:
- Red chilli powder
- Garam masala
- Amchur
- Chaat masala
- Black salt
- Salt
- Coriander powder
- Cumin powder

Preparing The Paneer Frankie Base (Roti)
- Take a bowl and add whole wheat flour + salt + oil.
- Knead well to make soft dough. Keep this dough aside for 15 minutes.
- Take the dough and knead again to make small balls.
- Take 1 ball and roll it into a thin circle using a little whole wheat flour.
- Place the roti on a non-stick tawa and heat it for 1 minute.
- Add 1 tsp oil and flip it on the other side to cook for 1 minute.
- Once cooked from both sides, remove the roti from heat and keep it aside.
Assembling the Paneer Frankie (final step)
- Place the roti flat on a plate.
- Add 1 tbsp of CROPINO Veg. Mayonnaise + chilli sauce. Spread uniformly.
- Add the prepared paneer stuffing to the center.
- Top it with some chopped onions + chopped cabbage and carrots.
- Sprinkle the paneer masala and roll the roti tightly.
- Tuck the ends to ensure that the stuffing does not come out.
